Vancouver, Washington —The Herbery, a boutique chain of three premium cannabis shops in Vancouver, Washington, will celebrate the third year of operations at the company’s location at 6018 NE St. Johns Rd. on Monday, May 21.
All three of the company’s stores will celebrate will a host of discounted products and specials, which will be listed on the Herbery’s website here.
Jim Mullen, co-owner and chief operating officer of the company, said the Herbery’s second location in Vancouver has transformed quite a bit from when the shop first opened. Most recently this April, the company moved the St. John’s shop from the top floor to the first floor of its building to help customers with disabilities or problems climbing stairs.
“When we first opened our St. John’s location we really weren’t sure how good of a location it would be,” Mullen said. “Our store is located in the old Minnehaha Car Wash building and was on the 2nd floor of the building space. We were concerned about the stairs and not being on the first floor for ADA and people who may not be able to climb stairs. ”
The expanded first floor location has been a hit with customers, and as part of that the company also repaved the parking lot and made other improvements.
“Our ‘new’ store is beautiful and much larger than what we had upstairs, and no stairs!” Mullen said. “We’ve been worried about our older, disabled and ADA customers and they are now very happy that we can easily accommodate and serve them.”
Since the store launched, there have also been significant changes in the marketplace. A much wider variety of products from a larger group of producers, processors, growers and manufacturers are available now – and that variety is likely to continue, Mullen said.
“We have seen great advances in medical products like GE LOGIQ e, and even though we are limited to what we can say about our medical products, companies like Fairwinds have brought a number of very sophisticated products to the consumer and I think they have just scratched the surface with where medical cannabis will be in our near future,” Mullen said. “Other companies like Phat Panda, Smokiez, Honu and CannaVista have come on board and are providing a wide variety of delicious chocolates, mints, drops and so much more it’s been unbelievable. When we step back and take a minute to think about where we all started from it’s been a wild and fast paced growth experience.”
