Strain Sheet: Panama Red from Honu (Washington)

Panama Red from Honu

Reviewer: SueVo
Strain: Panama Red (Sativa landrace descendant of the Central American strain, also a classic hippie strain from the ’60s and ’70s)(Sold throughout Washington)
Grower: Honu (Washington)
Onset time: About four minute. (took two hits)
Fade: About an hour
Strength: Medium to strong
Tingling (where did you feel it): Cheeks, under eyes, lips, shoulders (fairly normal sativa pattern).
Control (can you maintain focus, etc): Good. Can socialize, do moderate work. There’s a slight head fog but it’s not overwhelming. Great euphoria.
Emotions: Laid back and happy, groovin’ on some Neil Young! Great social stuff, too.
Paranoia: No.
Energy level: Good. Nice one for dancing around, taking a walk or getting chores done around the house.
Smell: Floral, citrus, sweet.
Relieves: Bad mood, depression, anxiety.
Positives: I was chatting my butt off on this stuff – and I’m usually more subdued. Great chill, relaxed, in the moment vibe. Perfect for hanging out and talking – I’d love trying this around a campfire.
Negatives: Some dry mouth.
Other notes: Moderately dense buds that are a little scruffy but well trimmed with a perfect moisture content (landrace strains often look a little weird btw). Love the glass jar that keeps the buds from getting squished. Smooth, slightly zingy smoke. I adore these old hippie strains – they’re so hard to find and they look a bit less polished than some of the modern strains – but from a nostalgia perspective, how can  you resist?
