Cliff Maynard, an artist based in Vancouver, Washington, uses an unusual medium to make mosaics.
His material of choice? Roach papers that friends save for him as they smoke through the year.
Maynard’s new time-lapse video shows him working on an image of Farmer Tom Lauerman, a Vancouver-based medical marijuana grower and activist.
Maynard recently had a showing in Portland for the launch of recreational cannabis sales on Oct. 1. He’s also had his work displayed in several magazines and at hemp fests around the country.
