LOS ANGELES — After rejecting the legalization of cannabis for recreational use back in 2010, voters in California have now changed their minds and voted to make it legal for adults aged 21 and older to consume marijuana recreationally.
The move means that Californians can now possess, consume and share up to one ounce of marijuana (although public consumption is still forbidden).
California was the first state to establish a medical marijuana program, and as the largest state by population its attitudes to the use of cannabis are influential. Now, with recreational use within the state enshrined by law, California will once again be acting as a trend setter by hosting the 2017 BIG Industry Show.
Taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center on January 19-20, 2017, the show will be the first major industry event taking place post-legalization. The business to business event will bring together wholesalers, suppliers, artists, buyers, investors, and all other 420 sector professionals in a unique opportunity to be part of this vast industry.
Delivered in partnership with High Times Business, the BIG Industry Show has four key component parts. In addition to the main event, which focuses on the 420 industry as a whole, including educational seminars and information for investors, Galleria Glass Art Exhibition will feature the stunning creations of the nation’s most talented glass blowing artists. Their high end pieces are blown specifically for the show and each year has been more impressive than the last. As the tenth anniversary show, Galleria 2017 is expected to showcase some particularly exciting creations.
Vaping is also a key part of the event, with the Vaporize Expo delivering the very latest developments from world class vape industry suppliers.
And at the heart of it all is Horticulture 360°, which recognizes the importance of the agricultural side of marijuana production. The latest scientific growing insights and the most recent technological advancements will be shared with interested parties, complemented by the more creative and artistic side of growing.
California’s historic decision to legalize the adult use of marijuana makes it the ideal location for the 2017 BIG Industry Show. For anyone with influence in (or who is seeking to influence) the 420 industry, this is the must-attend event of 2017.
