WIRE: Outrageous App releases “420 poetry,” other games for cannabis lovers

Santa Barbara, CA — The Outrageous App Store is mining for a small pot of the burgeoning marijuana industry, with games designed to peak the interest of a growing field of marijuana users.

The California-based company’s latest release, 420 Poetry, is a smart variation on refrigerator magnet poetry, but with far more options than what can be achieved on a refrigerator. 420 Poetry allows you to change fonts, tiles and backgrounds, add collage items, and then have your poem narrated back to you by prerecorded voices. Early reviews of the app have been extremely positive.

Outrageous App Store’s previously released apps include the 420 Answer Ball (the Magic 8 Ball for stoners) and the 420 Coloring Pad, they also had online slots games.

All three apps are freemium models and available in the Google Play Store by searching for “outrageousapp.”

In addition, the “straight” version of the 420 Coloring Pad is available in the iTunes Store and called the Best Adult Coloring Book.

Outrageous App is the brainchild of former journalist Rick Cipes who has written for over 40 publications including L.A. Times, Playboy and ESPN Magazine where he was a longtime contributor. He currently fronts the indie band The Agreeables.
