WIRE: Nine Oregon cannabis growers to display winning flowers at Oregon State Fair

Salem, OR – The nine winners of the inaugural Oregon Cannabis Growers’ Fair’s plant competition, which was held on Saturday, August 13, will display their winning plants at the Oregon State Fair starting today (Aug. 26, 2016) in the Fair’s Jackman Long Building, according to OCGF producer Mary Lou Burton.

Winners were awarded in three categories (sativa, indica and hybrid) as follows:

First Place Winners

Sativa – Uplifted Farms
Indica – Uplifted Farms
Hybrid – Canna Manna

Second Place Winners

Sativa – Far Fetched Farms
Indica – Synergy Farms
Hybrid – Royal Ambrosia

Third Place Winners

Sativa – WAH Farms
Indica – Sky High Farms
Hybrid – AHSG Farms

Nearly 100 plants were judged by experienced Oregon cannabis growers and noted author, activist and “Guru of Ganja” Ed Rosenthal, who narrowed the filled down to three first-, second- and third-place winners in each category.

Developed as an opportunity to bring together the industry under one roof to learn from “master growers,” the Oregon Cannabis Growers’ Fair serves to share ideas, new technology, review rules and regulations, learn about testing and much more about this new and “budding” industry that is growing at rapid speed, Burton said.

The Oregon Cannabis Growers Fair is produced by the Cannabis Collaborative Conference and the Oregon Cannabis Business Council. Admission is $20 to the general public, 21 years of age and older. For more information on the show, sponsorships and exhibitors visit
