WIRE: Cannabis 420 Games athletic event kicks off July 31 in Seattle

Marin, CA – In an era of health and fitness amidst a national cannabis boom, The 420 Games has become the latest “it” event series.


The athletic themed cannabis events have taken root and quickly become a national phenomenon. The 420 Games Seattle inaugural event takes place July 31st Magnuson Park. Just announced for Seattle, the first 420 tickets will be free of charge.

Olympic gold medalists and professional athletes are now endorsing “The Games”. Power Plant Fitness Challenge and The World’s First Cannabis Gym

In celebration of announcing the world’s first cannabis gym by Power Plant Fitness, The 420 Games Seattle will feature the Power Plant Fitness Challenge. Participants will be given the opportunity to compete in feats of strength. endurance, and speed, including the Ricky Williams 40-yard dash. The 420 Games creator Jim McAlpine, has recently launched an athletic line of cannabis products and in partnership with Ricky Williams the duo will open the world’s first cannabis gym in San Francisco, CA this November.


In just two years The 420 Games has experienced massive growth and currently boasts a viral fan base of over 60,000 people on Facebook. Beginning in 2014 as a small, regional event with around 200 people, events in 2016 are expected to draw more than 10,000 participants together in camaraderie. Now a four-state, six-city tour, 2016 includes California, Colorado, Oregon & Washington. Series’ producers plan for more national markets and a Canada/International Tour in 2017. The 420 Games Seattle offers participants a chance to participate in the effort to forge a new respect for cannabis users.
