Zoot Drops Kick Back Relaxation Blend from Zoots

Reviewer: Sue Vorenberg
Strain: Zoot Drops Kick Back Relaxation Blend, lemon flavor (10 mg THC serving)(Sold at Greenhead, High-5 Cannabis and The Herbery)
Grower: Zoots (Db3)(Washington)
Onset time: Started to feel it after about 20 minutes, built to full strength in about 45 minutes. (drinks and drink mixes seems to work faster on me than other edibles, which usually take a few hours to kick in)
Fade: About four and a half hours
Strength: Medium (I took 15 mg, which was a good level for me. Beginners should start with 5 mg – 1 capful – to start, then wait a few hours before deciding if a larger dose is needed.).
Tingling (where did you feel it): Cheeks, forehead, lips, shoulders, foot bottoms, lower back, upper arms, crotch, forearms.
Control (can you maintain focus, etc): Head’s a little hazy but I can focus through it. Control is decent.
Emotions: Calm, peaceful, relaxed, curious.
Paranoia: Slight (but I was in an anxious mood before I took the sample, so that may not be reflective).
Energy level: Midrange. Fine for taking a walk or cleaning the house. Not enough juice for working out or doing anything strenuous, though.
Taste: Lemony. Mixed with 8 ounces of water by itself it’s slightly sweet and lemony, with more of a stevia aftertaste than a weed aftertaste.
Relieves: Aches and pains, tension.
Positives: Good flavor and easy to mix. Love how easy it is to dial your dosage up or down. Good functional high, if slightly fuzzy. Great one for loosening up the muscles.
Negatives: I was hoping the relaxation bit would knock out my mental work stress, but no luck. The body buzz, though, is very nice. Also got some dry mouth a few hours in.
Other notes: Love how easy this is to add into mixed drinks. I’m becoming a real fan of cannabis drinks as a liquor alternative – they kick in faster than regular edibles and are great on the go. And it’s nice, as someone who quit drinking liquor three years ago, to have a cannabis drink option when I hang out with my beer enthusiast friends. Also good call on the stevia as a sweetener. Far better than something like aspartame, which is too chemical for my tastes. The drops also have a touch of green tea extract and chamomile, which mix nicely with the overall feel of the product.
