PORTLAND, Ore. – Just in time for Oregon’s first Fourth of July with legal recreational cannabis, Leafly, the world’s cannabis information resource, is debuting its first ever physical presence in Portland, Oregon.
The interactive lounge, housed by one of Portland’s premier dispensaries, Canna-Daddy’s, will offer both new and experienced cannabis consumers a wealth of information and resources. Interactive displays and electronic kiosks will cover cannabis 101 basics and help match adult consumers to recommended strains based on their needs and Canna Daddy’s current availability.
The center boasts custom-designed wood furniture and a mural created by one of Portland’s own, artist Blaine Fontana, who is known for his work around the city, such as the Brooklyn Neighborhood mural along TriMet’s new MAX Orange Line and the Koi Fish on SE Hawthorne Boulevard.
“Whether you’re new to cannabis, a medical marijuana patient or a seasoned consumer, Leafly is here to make the process of finding the right strains and products fast, simple and comfortable,” said Linn Baumgardt, senior channel marketing manager, Leafly. “This is a chance to tap into Leafly’s trusted resources in a fun new way, and make more informed decisions while you shop.”
The Leafly Resource Center will hold a grand opening celebrating its launch along with the opening of the new Canna-Daddy’s location July 1-4. Festivities and food vendors will be onsite from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 am to 7 pm on Sunday and Monday. The Leafly Cannabis Resource Center is located at 17020 SE Division Street in Portland.
“Giving customers the opportunity to explore and learn inside the dispensary takes the whole shopping experience to a new level,” said Brad Zusman, owner of Canna-Daddy’s. “Leafly has been an integral part of Canna-Daddy’s success, but this center gives new meaning to the phrase ’Powered by Leafly.’”
Leafly designed the new Resource Center to bring its trusted resources to a physical space, with features that include:
- A kiosk providing personalized strain recommendations for products available in the dispensary
- Cannabis 101 resources that cover the basics of cannabis selection and usage
- Educational videos, fun facts and the latest cannabis news
- Sustainably-created custom wood furniture by Coyote Woodshop
- Colorful mural with hidden cannabis strain tiles only visible from certain angles
Launched in 2010, Leafly’s online resource offers more than nine million monthly visitors a strain explorer to better understand the medical properties of each strain of cannabis, a dispensary locator to find the proximity of local establishments and reviews of particular strains or dispensaries.
As the world’s largest cannabis information resource, Leafly’s mission is to help patients and adult consumers make informed choices about cannabis and to empower cannabis businesses to attract and retain loyal customers through advertising and technology services.
