Peanut Butter Cup from Honu
Strain: Peanut Butter Cups (Part of The Honu Collection edible pack)(Sold at High-5 Cannabis and other Washington locations)
Grower: Honu (Washington)
Onset time: About two hours and 15 minutes (edibles work very slowly on me, they may kick in faster for somebody with a better metabolism)
Fade: About five hours
Strength: I took two 10-mg cups (20 mg total), which was about medium strength on me. If you’re not experienced with cannabis, start with a 5-mg dose (half a peanut butter cup) and wait a few hours, then take more if there’s no effect. Slowly work up, adding 5-mg each time, until you reach a level that works well for you (it’s a process you should only have to do once, but it beats getting overwhelmed).
Tingling (where did you feel it): Shoulders, chest, feet, upper arms, forearms, ears.
Control (can you maintain focus, etc): Euphoric, but I can concentrate on my surroundings just fine.
Emotions: Curious, creative, calm
Energy level: On the low side of moderate. Sort of couchy, but I enjoyed doing some stretching exercises on this – it really loosened up the muscles.
Taste: Smooth peanut butter and chocolate with very little weed taste. Not overly sweet – which is great. Very nice flavor for a recreational edible.
Relieves: Muscle pain, soreness, back pain, shoulder pain, stiff joints, tension.
Positives: Very relaxing end of the day body buzz. Mind is focused, curious and creative, without a lot of head haze.
Negatives: My own slow metabolism?
Other notes: Good creative energy for crafting, coloring, etc. Another thing I like to do with edibles is use them at low dose (for me that’s 10 mg, but newer folks would probably consider 5 mg to be low) as a baseline before smoking. By using an edible as a baseline, your flower lasts longer and has a stronger effect when you smoke.
