Kory Zelickson and Sean Dollinger got their first taste of vaping after visiting a friend who was a yoga instructor in Laguna Beach, California.
Turns out, the two entrepreneurs liked it so much that they decided to start selling vape equipment to the international markets. And so their company, Namaste Technologies, became a distributor for an array of vape lines from other businesses – selling them in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, among other places.
But the pair weren’t done.
After analyzing the available products on the market, they decided to make their own custom brand – Grizzly Originals. Under the new name, the company released its first custom made product – the Grizzly GURU – this month to U.S. and international markets.
“We started out as an online retailer – and we grew exponentially quickly,” Zelickson said. “But we also wanted to develop our own vape.”
The GURU, which retails for $210, is a multi-purpose device that can be used for oils, waxes and dry herb. And the pair claim it’s one of the best dry herb vaporizers on the market.
“We started in this space with a coal of carrying fantastic vapes,” Dollinger said. “Our GURU is one of the first to work really, really well with herbal products.”
The dry herb vape uses a glass vapor pathway and ceramic heating chamber with no wires – which makes it more efficient at heating the product and easier to clean, the two said.
The customizable heat settings on the device also make vaping more flavorful – bringing out the terpenes – especially with dry herbs, they said.
The GURU also comes with an adapter that lets users attach any 510-thread product to the heating chamber.
In the future, the company also plans to create a smaller, more portable pen version of the GURU, the two added.
