Liberty Haze from Vashon Velvet
Strain: Liberty Haze (Hybrid cross of G-13 and Chemdawg)(Sold at Greenhead Cannabis)
Grower: Vashon Velvet (Vashon Island, Washington)
Onset time: About a minutes (took two hits)
Fade: About an hour
Strength: Strong, a little goes a long way.
Tingling (where did you feel it): Mid-forehead, chest, lungs, above ears, deep into shoulders, cheeks.
Control (can you maintain focus, etc): Good euphoria with a solid body buzz. You can focus and hyperfocus well on this.
Emotions: Calm, happy, curious, engaged.
Energy level: Moderate – moving around feels good. So does lazing around on the couch.
Smell: Musky, earthy, some pine and skunk after grinding.
Relieves: Very nice on the bad shoulder, more so than other strains I’ve tried. Seems like it might be a good one for headaches as well, but I haven’t tried it for that.
Positives: Great all-around body feel, especially in the shoulders, head and torso. Head is euphoric but relatively clear.
Negatives: When I bought this, it was $27 a gram – Greenhead has since dropped the price to 1g for $20, which is a vast improvement. I don’t think any Washington cannabis should cost more than about $18 a gram at this point – and there’s a lot of really good top shelf out there at that price. This is up there in quality with the good top shelf products I’ve tried, but I’d still like to see the price drop a few more dollars to $18 a gram.
Other notes: Quality product, smooth smoke and a really solid euphoria. Nice one for a hike or bike ride. And I’m thrilled to see Greenhead working to bring the costs down for consumers.
