Durban Poison from Hempire
Strain: Durban Poison (South African pure landrace sativa)(Sold at The Herbery)
Grower: Hempire (a.k.a. Kettle River Cannabis Co., Washington)
Onset time: About three minutes (2 hits)
Fade: About an hour and 15 minutes
Strength: Medium, but it’s a creeper
Tingling (where did you feel it): Light in the shoulders and forehead to start, then spreads into chin, nose, chest, temples and upper back.
Control: Good. Can hyper-focus in on things. Nice clear-headed euphoria.
Emotions: Alert, happy, interested.
Energy level: Good for daytime. Movement feels fine.
Smell: Musky, possible slight berry. A bit of pine taste to the smoke.
Relieves: It kind of feels like a facial as the head tingles spread during the high. Good for eye stress, sore jaw.
Positives: Good classic landrace strain, especially for folks looking for a heady sativa. Interesting array of head tingles that migrate over the course of the high.
Negatives: Some munchies
Other notes: Popcorn buds – but it was a budtender sample so I’m not sure how telling that is. Smoke’s a little harsh. Great for sports watching on TV – you can really hyper-focus in on the action!
