Blue City Diesel from Fairwinds Manufacturing
Strain: The Real McCoy: Blue City Diesel (Hybrid cross of Blueberry and NYC Diesel)(Sold at The Herbery)
Grower: Fairwinds Manufacturing
Onset time: About four minutes (took two hits)
Fade: About an hour and a half
Strength: Builds from medium to strong over the first 10-15 minutes.
Tingling (where did you feel it): Center forehead, nose, lower back, feet, ears.
Control (can you maintain focus, etc): Reasonably clear euphoria – can focus through it.
Emotions: Happy, goofy, lighthearted
Energy level: Moderate. Movement feels good but so does sitting and chilling.
Smell: Pine, citrus and a bit of pineapple or berry.
Relieves: Lower back pain – the muscles feel very loose there. Haven’t found many strains that target that specific area.
Positives: Great easy-going silly buzz that really loosens up the shoulders and back. No munchies!
Negatives: Smoke was a little harsh – but this is Fairwinds’ first flower release and they’re already tweaking the next batch to make it more smooth.
Other notes: Fairwinds is near where I live and I visited them recently – this batch was great but the next generation looks even more amazing – coated with dense trichome crystals! One of the things I like best about this company is that the owner is a mechanical engineer and a perfectionist – he constantly tweaks things using the highest quality ingredients (or growing methods). The buds are huge! And even in this first flower release the bud I got was thick, chunky and weighed about 3.5 grams (that’s an eighth for those of you playing at home). The Blue City Diesel seems like it would be a great hang-out strain. Makes you feel like taking a walk on the beach or a relaxed hike. It’s also very silly, happy weed.
