Representatives from Leafly, an encyclopedic online information portal for cannabis consumers, will be heading to Portland in force for the launch of Oregon recreational marijuana sales on Oct. 1, 2015.

The beginning of the early start program on Oct. 1 in Oregon allows medical dispensaries to sell cannabis buds and plant material (generally called “flower” in the recreational market) to recreational customers. Customers can buy up to a quarter-ounce of flower per day, but they won’t be able to buy edibles, vapes or concentrates until the full market is set up next year.

Leafly will be at four Portland locations throughout the day (from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and is sponsoring food trucks and special deals.

According to the site:

“Customers who stop by will enjoy exclusive in-store specials and Leafly giveaways, plus food trucks will hand out free bites to every customer who leaves a review for the store on the Leafly app or shares a photo on social media with hashtag #LeaflyPDX.”

The company is also sponsoring an “It’s Legal” after party on Oct. 1 at the Doug Fir Lounge from 9 p.m. to midnight. The event will feature live music from The Minus 5 and Ghost Ease Tickets are $10 pre-sale, $12 at the door, and the first 100 RSVPs will receive free admission. VIP/sponsor access starts at 8 p.m.
